समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने मध्य प्रदेश में खूब मेहनत की और ताबड़तोड़ रैलियां कीं, लेकिन पार्टी नतीजा उनके लिए बेहद निराशाजनक रहा। समाजावीदा पार्टी खाता तक नहीं खोल सकी और अब तक का सबसे कम वोट शेयर मिला। सपा को इस चुनाव में महज 0.46 फीसदी वोट मिला जोकि नोटा से भी कम है। अखिलेश यादव के 2017 में राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष बनने के बाद से सपा को उत्तर प्रदेश और इसके बाहर कई चुनावी हार का सामना करना पड़ा है।
