The troubled teen industry is a billion dollar industry that is now being brought to the forefront of many political conversations and questioned in their practices, use and even abuse allegations. Paris Hilton first shed light on the industry publicly by sharing her experience in her documentary “This is Paris” and is now the executive producer of “Trapped in Treatment” - a podcast that will examine and expose the dark secrets of the troubled teen industry. Kelly talks with Caroline Cole, host of the Trapped in Treatment podcast, an entrepreneur, activist and trauma-focused women’s transformation coach. Caroline is also a survivor of the troubled teen industry. The women discuss the industry, what it is, why the practices are abusive and why this kind of system is actually not helping kids, but making things worse. Caroline also discusses her hopes for the future of the industry and helping troubled teens to actually heal.
