Are you walking in joy?

Can we really live in joy?

In this message, Pastor Jamie Nunnally shares how we can walk in joy.

Luke 2:10 “And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.”

What is Joy? Joy is a feeling of internal gladness or cheerfulness, that is unaffected by external circumstances. Happiness is based on what happens, but you make the choice to rejoice.

Things to know about Joy:

1. Christians are supposed to be known for their joy.

1 Peter 1:8

2. Joy comes from God.

He is constant and consistent in His joy.

Nehemiah 8:10 “the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

Your goal is not to increase your joy, but to acquire His joy.

Psalm 16:11 “In Your presence is fullness of joy.”

My joy doesn't come from "them" but from Him.

Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Your joy level corresponds with your Jesus level.

3. Joy is stirred up thru worship.

Psalm 98:4

Your worship will overwhelm your worry and joy will break forth.

4. Joy is boosted by obedience.

Luke 11:27-28

A holy Christian is a happy Christian.
