In this episode, I'll be talking about 'Racial Microaggressions and their Impact on Our Mental Health.' Have you had someone say to you, "You're not like the rest of them?" A microaggression is a brief and common place slight/insult that communicates hostility or prejudice, towards a particular group of people.
In my segment, "Let's Talk About It," June is PTSD Awareness Month, and more people than we may realize are living with unhealed childhood wounds/trauma. Unhealed childhood wounds can manifest themselves in a variety of ways, including feelings of fear, low self-esteem, insecurity, PTSD, and difficulty forming trusting relationships.
