The letter to Symrna was not acknowledging their works but their suffering. Pastor Gary is taking us through Revelation 2:8-11, explaining the meaning of suffering. Suffering means to be tormented, troubled, bewildered, confused, and worried. What is the mystery of suffering? If you ask for an answer to your sufferings, you will never get a satisfying answer. We all want the fellowship of the resurrection and the power, but no one wants to be part of the fellowship of Jesus' suffering. Lastly, God is not out there to get you; if we set certain things in motion, there will be consciences. Look at the church of Symrna; they are suffering because of their choices of serving God.
