Loyal listeners will notice that we’ve not posted many recent interview episodes; that’s because for the past couple of months, Greg has been in his busy field season with his real job, and Dave has been in a crunch to build a bunch of engines and prepare more than a dozen cars for vintage race meets that started back in June. Listeners who are racers, owners or mechanics know that the racing season gets really, really busy. Thanks for sticking around and continuing to listen to Vintage Racing Podcast.

This time around, Greg starts off with some email and forum comments from our listeners. For their conversation, Dave and Greg met at the shop for a short run-down on the recent Monterey Historic Motorsports Reunion, for which Dave and Veloce Motors West had provided track services for 14 customer cars. As usual, they meander off on some interesting side roads, including a discussion about Hart motor design and evolution, and the rare and special Alfa Romeo GTAM motor with its unique monosleeve construction. It’s a brief conversation, because Dave was getting ready to head out of the shop, but a fun one.
