Despite standing shoulder-to-shoulder with bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Parkway Drive in the late-2000s, Architects have had to work tirelessly to build a fanbase across the world and did not begin to receive sustained commercial success until 2016s ‘All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us’.
Not long after the release of the record, primary songwriter and guitarist Tom Searle would pass away at the age of 28, with the band revealing that he had been battling skin cancer for 3 years and had succumbed to his affliction. The record was written entirely by Tom Searle, both musically and lyrically and reveals the final thoughts of a man coming to grips with his own mortality.
