along with another two exciting quarantine cocktails (quarantinis?) from our friends at STL
Barkeep.
Our first special guests this week are Andy Mansinne, VP of MGP Brands, and David Whitmer,
MGP Master Blender. This dynamic duo gave us a truncated Masters of Rye class designed to
get to the heart of the spirit, starting with a history of rye from colonial origins to one of the
fastest-growing categories in spirits today. Rossville Union #RaiseSpirits
For our first quarantine cocktail, Matt Longueville taught us how to make a Signature Master
Crafted Manhattan using Rossville Union Master Crafted Rye (94 proof)
Next, Comedian Mia Jackson joins us to discuss life after her Comedy Central special. Jackson
details the struggle to come up with material about the outside world when there is no outside
world without just talking shit on people at the grocery store. Chris and Mia also discuss the
post-pandemic future of stand up gigs.
Pat Gioia brings us our next quarantine drink, an unnamed cocktail with Gin, Watermelon juice,
and jalapenos. According to Pat, this fun and fruity beverage is best enjoyed in Austin, Texas.
