While much attention is paid to the gender wage gap, recently another gender gap has been getting people's attention - workplace deaths being overwhelmingly men. What's the cause of this, and how can we fight it? Let us know in the comments and subscribe for new funny videos every week! 93% of people killed on the job are male. This has been referred to as the Gender Occupational Death Gap, the Workplace Death Gap, the Gender Death Gap, and other names, but it reflects the same phenomenon - men are more likely than women to get killed on the job. Is this because dangerous jobs like logging, construction, and fishing tend to be male-dominated - or because being male-dominated makes those fields riskier? We examine the question and ways in which women and men can bridge the death gap by exploring more or less dangerous fields. Do you think it's a myth or a real problem? What other gender discrepancies are out there? Let us know in the comments or reach out on social media.
