This episode features special guest Joe from the YouTube channel Pause and Select, home of excellent short videos about anime and manga. This includes the "A Thousand Isekai" series, which touches on topics that have been discussed on We Watch 100 Isekai, but in a much more coherent manner. Based on the title alone, it is quantifiably ten times better than this podcast. Based on content, the difference is immeasurable. Zaku and Thermite have learned a lot about isekai and anime in general from the Pause and Select channel, so they were thrilled to goof around with someone who actually knows things.
Follow this unlikely trio briefly into the DMMORPG Yggdrasil, and then into a totally new world as they discuss another world with breast cancer, wonder what counts as an inhuman design, get bonked with the emotion stick, try to message the admins, appreciate Grandma Momonga, expose a secret conspiracy involving the Johnny Test whip crack sound, bask in some very strange energy and address their first ever voicemail at great rambly length.
Most vitally, Joe tears the patented Spicy/Nicey/Isekaicy/GREED ISLAND rating system apart completely, which the hosts will not learn from in the slightest.
