Kym Lee is a native Washingtonian who graduated from Bowie State University with honors. Upon graduation, Kym attended Georgetown Law School in hopes of being a top entertainment lawyer. While in law school, she worked at her family owned salon in her spare time. It was there that she discovered her passion was not law, but beauty. While in pursuit of her dream she landed a makeup position at B.E.T. where she’s been for the past 15 years. Kym’s makeup artistry has graced the pages of Essence, Black Enterprise, People, Glamour, and Sister 2 Sister Magazines. She is also one of the Lead Makeup Artist for the Tom Joyner Sky Show, BET HONORS, BET’s CENTRIC (Soul Train Awards), the annual BET Awards, and the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. In addition, she is the co-owner of Outer Skinz Image Group and some of her brushes with fame include, actors, Angela Bassett, Kerri Washington, Paula Patton, Sherri Shepherd, Tasha Smith, Loretta Divine, Meagan Good, Mo’Nique, Omarosa, Danny Glover, Idris Elba, Hill Harper, Terrance Howard, Mike Epps, Pooch Hall (The Game), and Romeo.
