Alright folks, it's time for your daily weather update for Austin, Texas. Let's dive right in!
Today we have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Some of those storms could get pretty wild. We're looking at a high near 95 degrees, but brace yourself for a heat index that could make it feel as hot as 104. Winds coming in from the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour, with gusts reaching up to 20 miles per hour.
Tonight, the chance of showers and thunderstorms jumps up to 50 percent. Be prepared for the possibility of severe storms and heavy rainfall. Expect increasing clouds with a low around 72. Winds will continue from the southeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour. We could see new rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches.
As we move into Wednesday, there's still a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with partly sunny skies and a high near 89. Winds will be light coming from the east-southeast at around 5 miles per hour.
And looking ahead to the rest of the week, we've got a mix of clouds, sunshine, and more chances of showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. So, keep those umbrellas handy!
