On this week’s episode of What the M, meet the “James Madison” of the Mortgage Industry! Kent and Steve talk with Marcel Bryar, Founder and Managing Director of Mortgage Policy Advisors, LLC.
Marcel earned a BA in history from Yale University and his Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School. Marcel is perhaps best known for leading the development and implementation of the Making Home Affordable program during his tenure as Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Fannie Mae. He also served as a Senior Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, where he spearheaded the implementation of the National Mortgage Settlement. Marcel has more than 20 years of experience in mortgage operations, regulation, and policy oversight, working closely with industry stakeholders, federal agencies and federal and state government policymakers. We feel incredibly fortunate to have him share his thoughts with us about the economy, his insights on the future of mortgage rates… and his prediction for who will win the World Cup!
