Does food help your mental health? That's what we are going to find out. More than ever before, there’s been a pronounced change in the public conversation surrounding mental health. No longer hidden away from family and friends, most people are now voicing their struggles and desires for change. As a chef, one of the easiest ways to help mental illness comes down to our diet. After all, we are what we eat. If you are interested in knowing more about nutrition and your body this show is for you.

In the informative episode, chef Noel is joined by nutritionist educator Deborah Johnson, who is so a Community Nutritionist who holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition and the founder of My Temple Wellness. She currently works at Riverdale Senior Services (RSS) as the Community Health Nutrition Educator serving the Northwest section of the Bronx. Deborah was recently nominated and appointed to become a member of The Steering and Envisioning Committee (SEC) for the New York City Nutrition Education Network.

As a Nutritionist, Deborah is committed to the journey of helping people make lasting changes by adopting healthy habits for life, at their respective levels of readiness. She believes that when individuals, families, and communities are empowered with nutrition education, they generally make better decisions to increase their lifespan and live quality lives. Her goal is to increase the knowledge, attitudes, behaviours, and health outcomes of the communities she serves through nutrition literacy.
