Can we challenge our perspectives as we explore why the United States often misses the mark on genuine freedom? If this is scary and causes some doubt, don't worry because July 3rd is the feast of St Thomas the Apostle. His example in life is that we can be free to do great things, even without a doubt.
Of course, we love the dazzling fireworks and celebrations of independence, but there is a TRUE freedom we need to care about. A True Freedom that only comes from Christ
We are called for excellence in our lives. Freedom gives us the building blocks to strive for excellence every single day!
Enjoy the hot dogs, and marvel at the fireworks, but let's not forget who gives us our True Freedom.
