This John Woo film was not amongst his best. Ryan and Mark give this film a 5 and 4.5, respectively. It stars Joel Kinnaman as an unconsolable father that has lost his son in seemingly senseless gang violence. He is hellbent on getting vengeance and is willing to lose everything and die for it.
The film does have some really good parts and elements to it but overall it is a bust. The characters are completely silent throughout the movie and while that concept starts out intriguing it gets played out pretty quickly. It also has some over-the-top ridiculous scenes that might have you asking "why am I watching this?".
