Ryan and Mark review The Holdovers starring Paul Giamatti in this episode. As usual, Paul gives an excellent performance as does the rest of the small cast. They give the film a rating of 8 and 9, respectively. This movie is likely to be a diamond in the rough to most as it is almost certainly deeper and better than the previews indicate.
It is the story of a few troubled people that come together as unlikely allies and work through some very real troubles that we all could face. It is set in the 1970s at a boarding school in the northeastern United States around Christmas time. This film will make you feel a range of emotions and you're bound to learn something or at least laugh, maybe even cry. We strongly recommend.
