The players employ a variety of crime scene investigation techniques to find evidence in a series of strange murders and find the perpetrator. As they face a new crime each week, the players — who stay at a lavish estate called Rue Manor — must decide whether to form alliances or go it alone. Not solving a crime means the end of the line, until only three contestants remain. In the end, the player who identifies the killer wins a $250,000 prize.
