Trauma is real! Sometimes it occurs without our permission and often goes unnoticed. Now is the time to recognize this, and do what we can to fix it!

Shae Nicole is a Licensed Trauma Therapist, Self-Care Coach, and Educator. She stopped by WinHers United the podcast to share her journey, offer her insight on trauma, and give us tools to be and do better. Before moving into this field Shae had to recognize and work on the trauma she experienced in her life, and once she did she decided this breakthrough needed to be shared.

Shae’s Bio

Shae Nicole understands that reaching out for help takes courage. Not because she is a licensed trauma therapist, but because she has been there. From personal experiences with generational trauma, domestic violence, and social injustices, Shae knows how valuable help can be. She utilizes her experiences and expertise to help women and marginalized populations heal from trauma, enhance their self-care needs and nurture growth from the inside out.

Shae has practiced within the field of mental health for over 8 years. She has obtained a B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Psychology and an M.A. in Counseling. She is also a Self-Care Specialist and educator. She integrates talk therapy, brain-body techniques, and self-care strategies to address women’s needs. Shae strives to break generational cycles of trauma to build healthier individuals, families, and communities. She helps women not only recognize trauma but helping them to effectively learn how to implement healthier tools and skills to enhance their lives and journey to healing.

Outside of her work as a trauma therapist, Shae is married with 2 children in Atlanta, GA. She also practices what she preaches and enjoys meditation, yoga, reading, discovering new foodie spots and lots of HGTV.
