Nelson Mandela is quoted as saying that to deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity. Oprah Winfrey has said that the right to vote is like the crown that we get to wear as citizens in this country. During this election cycle, we’ve heard a lot about rights, we talked about rights and everything that goes with it.

As we make the time to observe our right to vote on Election Day, I ask that we take care to both protect and express our other inalienable rights, not just when we choose our next representatives, but how we live our lives every day. It's time to disrupt the status quo!
