On this episode of Women Who Sport podcast we are joined by the incredible Marilyn Okoro!

Marilyn is a 400m and 800m runner who won a bronze medal at the 2008 Olympics as part of the GB relay team - awarded 10 years after the event following 2 other countries being relegated due to failed drug tests. We discuss the turmoil and missed opportunities consequential of that, struggles with body image in an event where Marilyn didn't look like her competitors and adapting to life as an athlete beyond funding.

Marilyn is open, honest and has an amazing journey as a competitor on the international stage.

We are incredibly lucky to have two amazing partners for this series on the podcast - Locker Stash Rugby and Boob Armour.

Locker Stash Rugby sell pre-loved sports kit through their website and in non-covid times even host 'stash nights' at your local club. Be sure to check them out and get your hands on some absolute gems! https://lockerstashrugby.co.uk/

Boob Armour are an Aussie-based company (don't worry - they sell worldwide!) who create protective breast inserts that slip inside any sports bra and shield your boob against damage in high impact sport.
