Jamiel Owens is an advocate for his son Shayne and other Autism parents. Jamiel has been through many challenges and triumphs in his life as a disabled individual himself, which has led him to give back to other men that may be experiencing the same issues within their own life, but without someone to speak to about them. Raised in North Philadelphia, Jamiel has served his and other communities as law enforcement officer, a civil servant, and is currently a volunteer firefighter and the Family Relations Coordinator at the Center for Autism Research at CHOP. Join us on The Village Vision with Dr. Crystal Morrison, and connect with Jamiel on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Dr. Crystal G. Morrison is a highly regarded executive advisor, strategist, leader, scientist, tech entrepreneur, and co-founder of Meerkat Village, dedicated to improving outcomes for children with special needs by building collaboration and communication among adults providing care. Follow TheVillageVision.com and on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. Dr. Crystal, along with Jeannette Paxia, brings you “SUPERHEROES on the Spectrum” unveiling a kaleidoscope of voices that span the spectrum of autism. Please support UnsilencedVoices.org.
