With the South African national elections set for 29 May 2024, I sit down with MP, DA provincial chairperson for KZN and Shadow Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Dean Macpherson.
Dean has been a member of parliament since 2014 and having made his way up the Democratic Alliance through local governance in Durban North and surrounding areas, he has a unique and first-hand account of our situation in Ethekwini in particular.
BIG takeaways from this episode are as follows:
According to the polls, no party is going to get a majority this election. This is unprecedented.
The multi-party charter has become a realistic light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.
The DA has outlined what appears to be a practical five-year plan, based on seven Apex priorities.
You can keep up to date with both Dean and Democratic Alliance on the below links:

The future is in your hands. Make your choice. Make your mark.
