Matthew Willman is a documentary photographer who's unique and purpose filled journey to shaking Nelson Mandela's hand, took him to places that far exceeded his own, I suspect. Not only did he shake Madiba's hand, but he became the commissioned photographer for the Nelson Mandela Foundation,
Being a fly on the wall in Madiba's presence, Matthew has worked with some of the greatest leaders of our time, including three US presidents. In this episode, Matthew and I discuss:
1. His journey around the country, including 18 months on Robben Island.
2. The value of having a purpose.
3. The words of wisdom from Mandela that changed his life.
