We get to talking about our absolute favorite serial killer movies of all time, and we get into that by talking about the recently concluded fourth season of HBO's True Detective: Night Country, starring serial-killer movie alum Jodie Foster alongside Kali Reis. This season have proved controversial, mostly because a lot of media outlets heaped praise upon it, while many fans were left wondering how anyone could accept it as an entry in the series let alone as a coherent story — plus the writer has come under fire on social media and has not really been able to defend the work. Hell, the series was already two-thirds unpopular anyway — what we're sayin' is that most people only like Season 1 starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
Once that's out of our system, we run down the best serial killer movies and discover it was practically its own genre during the 1990s after the success of Silence of the Lambs in 1991, starring Foster and Anthony Hopkins. We talk about that one and everything else, from Bone Collector to Kalifornia to Mr. Brooks, because who doesn't like a good dramatic vehicle for Kevin Costner and Dane Cook. Let's go!
