How exactly does a book go from the page to the screen?

In part two of this series, Brian and Antoinette will go over the art of adaptation from crafting your treatment to writing your screenplay.

Here's what you'll learn on Day 2:

  • Writing your treatment
  • Screenplay basics
  • Formatting a screenplay

Antoinette has been a manager for Richard Stratton, an award-winning filmmaker, producer and writer. His feature films, TV series, documentaries, and docu-series have aired on major premium TV networks and streaming services including HBO, Showtime, A&E, and Discovery. His feature film SLAM won the Grand Jury prize at Sundance and the Camera d'Or at Cannes. For the 25th Anniversary of SLAM, the film was digitally remastered and screened on opening weekend at Sundance 2023. He is the recipient of an Emmy, the Peace Prize at the Berlin Film Festival, and many other awards. His award-winning journalism has appeared in numerous magazines, and he won the prestigious NY Press Club Journalism Award for True Crime. His latest novel, DEFENDING ALICE, was published worldwide by Harper Collins on November 22, 2022.

Antoinette negotiated the deal for Defending Alice. She has worked with top

executives to negotiate on behalf of Mr. Stratton and other clients. Her knowledge and understanding of people and contracts, as well as her ability to negotiate major deals are her strength in managing her clients. Antoinette has taken the strategies she has learned to transform many lives by offering her clients, (community champions) a 90-day strategically designed plan for each individual. It is the power of connecting people and maintaining relationships that are a major factor in Antoinette’s everyday business and personal life. Antoinette resides in NYC with her husband and son.
