In this Sex and the City prequel, the difference between nineties HBO and current network television couldn't be more apparent. Sold perhaps as a slice of life show for teens, we couldn't help but scratch our heads and ask ourselves "but like... who is this for?" To be fair, it is a wonderful show and we had a delightful time watching it, I'd like to believe anyone who does would feel the same and so it's for everybody, but from a specific market standpoint.... shrug emoji? We discuss how apparently Connecticut in the 80's was more racially inclusive and diverse than New York in the 90's, or at least, their television portrayals were, how sometimes you get your money and get out, and how Jim Carey and Neil Patrick Harris were BOTH in different versions of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
