輔大哲學系的學風是中西哲學並行發展，中哲方面重視中國哲學的當代詮釋和與海外漢學家的交流，西哲則側重歐陸哲學，是國內少數能夠提供古希臘、中世紀哲學、近當代哲學完整課程的系所。應用哲學方面則以哲學諮商、兒童哲學為亮點。
