It's not rocket science, however I suggest with a word of caution as to what blanket to use and for what reason.
What is upmost importance is that we blanket in accordance to each horses individual needs.
I forgot to mention in this podcast that yes indeed, if I lived in the mountains with a dry climate especially when it snows in the winter, I most likely would not use blankets.
Wind and rain combined is the biggest cause of heat loss in horses and since that is the climate I live in, I will absolutely blanket my horses accordingly.
