Is it better than Space Jam? As a child, I yearned for the mines. As an adult, not so much... Right then, let's get this one out of the way. As time goes on, humans seem to get better and better at adapting video games. From the early Super Mario and Street Fighters to The Last of U s, Fallout and Sonic , we have mastered the formula, but every now and then, something comes along to take us right back to square one. Welcome to this episode about A Minecraft Movie. A film where we let Jack Black run around on a green screen for nearly two hours with a few of his new friends. A game about mining and crafting has been turned into this epic new adventure with memes and typical Jack Blackisms so let's chat about them. We chat about the few things we liked, a lot we didn't and where we see this film going in terms of box office revenue as we ask; Is A Minecraft Movie Better Than Space Jam? Tune in to see what we think, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? I don't care what universe you're from, that's gotta hurt! Welcome back folks as, yet again, we struggle to decide how to end a season. Luckily for us, Jack Quaid has answered our prayers by dropping a new action comedy, in cinemas now, so why not talk about it? Jack Quaid plays Nathan Caine , an bank clerk who doesn't feel any pain due to a condition he has. That won't stop him on a quest for true love however as this fun little movie gives us some unique action and some genuine good vibes (with some gross scenes for good measure) We chat about what we liked, nepotism in Hollywood and try not to spoil the movie for you as we ask; Is Novocaine Better Than Space Jam? Out in cinemas now folks, don't miss out. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? We're not quite done with season 4 yet. A few weeks ago, we announced our lineup for season 5 of our podcast but we forgot to check when films are being released and Disney , in their infinite wisdom, decided to drop Snow White so here we are to talk about it. You'd be appy to know that this episode was recorded away from the press and the media and we only invited each other. We won't be talking about any of the stories that surround this new live action remake but we will chat about what we liked, what we didn't like and whatever Gal Gadot was doing as we ask; Is Snow White Better Than Space Jam? We may have another episode for you because we hate odd numbers but until then, Take it easy and we'll see you soon. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? DO THE ROAR! Welcome to our final episode of season 4 guys (unless we squeeze Snow White in). We made it and what a Shrek-tacular way to end it, and how happy are we that we don't have to say Shrek-tacular anymore. Shrek Forever After is yet another entry into the ever growing franchise and certain lessons have been learnt. Whilst we feel it's a vast improvement, is it anything compared to the might of Shrek 2? Join us as we chat about what we like, what we don't like and a few fairy tale refreshers as we ask; Is Shrek Forever After Better Than Space Jam? Thank you for your support folks and we'll see you soon for season 5! James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Like the title suggests, this is indeed the third one. The difficult third album. Shrek the Third had very big shoes to fill following the masterpiece that was Shrek 2. Does it deliver? Not even close. It's interesting that the wheels have fallen off so suddenly with this franchise and there's a lot to unpack. Timberlake , Live & Let Die for no reason, weak villains and just a sense that the franchise is getting a little bit tired, but join us as we chat about the things we liked (there weren't many), things we didnt and finally get around to asking the question; Is Shrek the Third Better Than Space Jam? More Shrek next week but until then, we hope you enjoy this episode. See you soon, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Shrek-tacular Shrek-tacular!! Welcome to our episode about everyone's favourite Shrek movie, Shrek 2. Everyone is back for another adventure but, my gosh, what an adventure it is. With the animation getting smoother as each film goes by, more bangers are included in the soundtrack, more cats are wearing shoes and more orges are turning human, and everyone fancies him! Shrek 2 is believed by many to be the height of the franchise by many so join us as we chat about why we think that is, as we ask; Is Shrek 2 Better Than Space Jam? See you next week when the wheels really start coming off. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? SomeBODY once told me the world is gonna roll me... Well folks, it's finally come to this. Shrek is life. Shrek is love. After being asked for ages to cover the Shrek movies, we finally caved so please join us as we have a Shrek-tacular time. We're starting off strong with the first one, a movie that has made an unbelievable cultural impact, much like this podcast hasn't, and changed the game forever. Tune in as we discuss the things we like, the things we don't like and French Robin Hood for about 5 minutes as we ask; Is Shrek Better Than Space Jam? Shrek 2 next week, let's go!! See you then. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Freedom! Beauty! Space! Jam! Happy belated Valentine's Day to you all and although last week we were still in the midst of a Sonic marathon, we made up for it this week with Moulin Rouge , a jukebox musical to rival all other jukebox musicals. Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor lead us on this beautifully tragic tale about love overcoming all obstacles with some absolute bangers thrown in. It's an energetic blast of passion, directed by Baz Luhrmann and, in this episode, we chat about it, the bits that work and the bits that don't and as usual, we do get sidetracked too as we ask; Is Moulin Rogue! Better Than Space Jam? We hope you enjoy this episode and remember; " The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to Space and be Jammed in return." James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? My finger is on the button! Here we are folks, at the film that made us drop everything and review the Sonic franchise because we wanted to talk about this movie so much. Sonic 3 picks up where the second left off, however, a chaotic force is on the rise in the form of Shadow the Hedgehog , a darker version of Sonic , and it's up to our favourite blue friend to stop it. Now, we do we get a bit off track in the episode, asking the important question "What the hell was the millenium dome?" but we do eventually get around to asking; Is Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Better Than Space Jam? Thank you for joining us as we chat about Sonic , it's been a blast. Sometimes, you just have Live & Learn. See you next week. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? LADIES & GENTLEMEN, WELCOME TO OUR 100TH EPISODE! How far we have come! And to celebrate our 100th episode, we offer you the sequel to the episode we just did because we weren't aware we hit 100. Sonic is back, still fast as f**k, boy, and he's got some friends this time. Tails has joined in on the fun in an attempt to stop Dr Robotnik who has teamed up with Knuckles , one million percent muscle. It's what you got in the first one, just more of it basically. Join us as we chat about all the things we liked, the things we really didn't like and the Harlem Shake for a little bit as we ask; Is Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Better Than Space Jam? A massive thank you for supporting our little podcast, we have so much fun making these. Here's to the next 100! James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Gotta go fast!! Now, I know what you're thinking. "Hey! This isn't the Homeward Bound episode you promised!" and you'd be right but why not dip our toes back into the world of Sega . Sonic the Hedgehog probably wasn't the easiest film to make, what with Sonic 's original design uniting fans across the world to reach out and express their distaste but the producers listened and we wouldn't be where we are now without it. Demoloshing Birds of Prey at the box office, we take a look to see what works, what doesn't work and we may get side tracked a little too as we ask; Is Sonic The Hedgehog Better Than Space Jam? Let us know what you think. We hope you enjoy this episode. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Go West!! Life is peaceful there!! Let me tell you folks, I have been trying to get Jade to cover this on the podcast for ages and the day finally came! Fievel Goes West was a firm favourite for me growing up but now is the time to view it through adult eyes and ask; Is Fievel Goes West Better Than Space Jam? With plenty of Don Bluth bangers to choose from, this is what we picked, so why not join us as we chat about scorpions (again) , Fawlty Towers and all things Western in a film that the majority of you haven't seen. We hope you enjoy this episode and join us next week as more animals go on more adventures. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Bangarang!! Continuing our early 90's Robin Williams movies with a film that didn't do particularly well upon it's release but made a big impact on those growing up with it (ask your millennial friends), Hook . Steven Speilberg gives pirates a bash and why not have everyone's favourite flying child Peter Pan grown up. With an all star cast, a big budget and one hell of a set, Jade and I chat about the flick and ask ourselves; Is Hook Better Than Space Jam? Get in touch with your thoughts on Hook and we'll see you next week when Fievel Goes West. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? New year, same us! Happy New Year folks! We hope you had a wonderful celebration and to kick of 2025 's podcast episodes, let's dust of the board games, throw on our loin cloths and run like hell! Jumanji is the first episode this year as we felt that it was the perfect film to watch over this time of year. With a great cast, monkeys in the kitchen and that guy from Titanic chasing us, join us as we chat about all manner of things (we got distracted a lot) as we ask; Is Jumanji better than Space Jam? We hope you enjoy this episode and carry on to join us throughout the year. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? And with that, the 2024 season is over! Folks, we made it!! It is the end of our cinematic year and what a year it's been. From late night tv hauntings, to flying green witches and all the Madame Webs inbetween, its been a fun year so it can only mean one thing; The Golden Biscuit Awards 2024. Jade and I have compiled our winners and losers (even some of you have voted for your favourite) as we give out awards to the films that most deserve it. Obviously, it's just a bit of fun but let us know if your favourite is a winner. At this point, we want to thank you guys for tuning in. We do this because we love talking about movies with each other and even if we just get one listener, one subscriber or one view, it really means the world to us both. Thank you for an amazing year. See you next year, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Back on the Star Wars train! Choo choo!! This week, we're taking about the ultimate sequel, The Empire Strikes Back , a film that cemented Star Wars as a franchise that cannot be stopped. Obviously, this week, we heard about the passing of James Earl Jones , so we have a little chat about his career and his legacy as well. Not only that, we had a little chat about Dreamcatcher , throwing popcorn all over the place and Harrison Ford 's hair as we try our best to find an answer to that age old question; Is Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back Better Than Space Jam? We hope you enjoy this week's episode. We're back next week with Return of the Jed i. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Don't worry folks, it's spoiler free and if there are spoilers, they are minor. Beetlejuice has cast aside his floral shirt and isn't going to Hawaii. Instead, he's back up to no good in a sequel that should have come out much sooner. Everyone (well, almost everyone) is back for Tim Burton 's latest cinematic release and we've specualted before as to whether this film would turn out to be any good. Aside from a brief chat about cinema etiquette, we chat about what we liked, what we didn't like and what we just found bizarre as we ask; Is Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Better Than Space Jam? Let us know what you think folks and we hope you enjoy this episode. Back to Star Wars next week. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? We're back folks! After a tiny little break, The Biscuits & Blurays Podcast: A New Legacy is back. Now in our fourth season, what better film to talk about than the fourth film in the Skywalker Saga; A New Hope. Personally, I always enjoy revisiting the world of Star Wars (not you, episode IX ) and I've managed to talk Jade into revisiting it with me. Because we are who we are, we do get a little distracted but we've filled this episode with some facts, opinions and stupid Obi-Wan impressions before we ask the ultimate question; Is Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope Better Than Space Jam? We hope you enjoy this episode and tune in throughout the season for some more bangers of films. Thank you, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? *Spoilers in this episode folks!!* Our final episode is here!! We made it!! We have picked an interesting film to close season three of the podcast, and thankfully it's a new release. Alien: Romulus is the latest in the Alien franchise; a franchise that even with it's ups and downs, holds a place in my heart. A reboot of sorts, Romulus unleashes fresh blood on the series with plenty of Alien action but is it too little, too late? How does the newest film hold up? and most importantly; Is Alien: Romulus Better Than Space Jam? Thank you to my wonderful co-host Jade for a spectacular season. Thank you to our many guests we've had on this season. You're all better than Space Jam . But the biggest thank you of all to you, our viewers . If you find yourself coming back to our podcast, please know that we are incredibly grateful and hope you have as much fun listening as we have recording. See you next season!! Is it better than Space Jam? "Cos the movies teach us what our parents don't have time to say." Welcome to our penultimate episode this season and, before we end the season with aliens, we chat about this musical comedy from the makers of, well, South Park . South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut is the first time these beloved characters are put on the big screen, and since then we've had Tony award winning musicals and plenty more seasons of the show, but; Is South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut Better Than Space Jam? Is it better than Space Jam? Heigh-ho! Heigh-ho! Our final guest spot for this season. We are joined for a third time by the wonderful Kat from KissKatdoodles who chose to speak about a Disney film, and because we didn't know which one to talk about, we settled for Disney 's first full length feature; Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs. Kat and I will be chatting about what we like about old Disney movies, what we find odd about them and open up the floor to the whole 2D vs 3D animation debate as we ask a very important question; Is Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs Better Than Space Jam? Thank you for joining me again Kat , it won't be the last time. Hope you enjoy this one guys. James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? We love to boogie! As you know, we've had a lot of guests on and every film they've picked as been a relative banger! And this week, I was joined by the wonderful Sarah from Popcorn Chat , who knows a good film when she sees one. Sarah has chosen to talk about Billy Elliot this week, which is a British film about a boy who dreams about following his dream to become a ballet dancer, whilst the town he is from is in the middle of a miner's strike. A Trekkie all the way through to his core, Drew has picked The Wrath of Khan to chat about today, as we talk about the cultural impact of Star Trek, the first Motion Picture but more importantly we ask; Is Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Better Than Space Jam? Thank you Drew for joining me and we hope you enjoy, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? SPOILER FREE! We've got your back folks. It's weird how a film can come out of nowhere and suddenly be the only thing anyone is talking about. Needless to say, we got swept up in it and felt the urge to chat about it. Longlegs (AKA Longle Eggs in our house) is a crime thriller that has everyone talking, with great reviews and powerful marketing. A murder mystery of sorts, we chat about what we liked, didn't like and just a quick reminder of how to behave in the cinema as we ask; Is Longlegs Better Than Space Jam? We kept track of our heart rate whilst recording and we need to see a doctor. We hope you enjoy, James & Jade, Biscuits & Blurays. Support the show…
Is it better than Space Jam? Hundreds of Beavers will be in UK & Irish cinemas from 9th July As season three keeps growing (seriously, it won't stop) we take another look at a film that we feel the need to talk about. Hundreds of Beavers is an insane title for a movie but it delivers exactly what it says on the tin. A live action Looney Tunes cartoon, this self funded passion project warmed our hearts with its originality and it is a film we hope you folks search out. Join us as we chat about this flick, its inspirations and its creativity and ask; Is Hundreds of Beavers Better Than Space Jam? Please check this film out folks, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Is it better than Space Jam? Like a few movies from the 80's, this one involves a werewolf, but this time...he's a teenager. Lindsay Foster joins me again on the podcast and because she has a certain nostalgia about it, she has chosen to discuss the Michael J. Fox movie, Teen Wolf. Is it better than Space Jam? It should have been Alien Vs Predator week, but what about this as a substitute? Lisa Frankenstein came out earlier this year and it left a huge impression on us. Frightfully original and drenched in 80's vibes, Diablo Cody is back baby! In December, we get festive. We did it last year so why not do it again this year. We're starting with Elf , a 2003 comedy about an Elf 's journey to discover his true family and purpose. Now, both of us have only seen this once before and we're not super fans. Sadly, our feelings towards the film haven't changed but join us as we chat about what we liked, what we don't and ask; Is Elf Better Than Space Jam? More Christmas episodes are on their way. Is it better than Space Jam? One from the vaults! Welcome back folks, and because we miscalculated when Wicked was going to be released, we had a gap that we needed to fill just before Christmas . Consider your stockings full to overflowing. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult classic. Arguably, it is the first cult classic, and because we are the theatre kids we are, it's your latest episode of the podcast. Is it better than Space Jam? Minor spoilers ahead in this one. We finally made it folks. A film that literally everyone we know is talking about has finally arrived. Wicked is here! Here at Biscuits & Blurays , we always think a filmed production is always better than a movie adaptation. Luckily, that isn't the case here. Split into two seperare movies, we find our seats, settle down, read the programme and let act one wash over us. There's a lot to like here, but it's not without it's questionable decisions. Join us as we chat about what we liked, what we loved, what we thought was a little bit off and ask; Is Wicked Better Than Space Jam? We hope you enjoy the episode and we hope you enjoy the movie. Is it better than Space Jam? Sigh Here we are again with another trailer talk episode. What a surprise that with Disney pumping out more live action movies than ever before that Dreamworks , a rival company, has decided that was a good business idea. Is it better than Space Jam? After a short break, we are back folks so why not chat about one of the worst films of all time. Today, we chat about Showgirls , an infamous film that needs to be seen to be believed. From its excessive nudity , its ridiculous writing , its shoddy editin g, its over the top performances and one hell of a pool scene , Showgirls is probably the most 90s movie you will ever watch. Luckily for you, we've watched it for you. We chat about all of the above and ask a very important question; Is Showgirls Better Than Space Jam? Thanks for your patience on our break. Last year, this film came out and everyone asked if we'd talk about it so we did the only thing we could as responsible podcast hosts: We waited a whole year for the demand to die down. Five Nights at Freddy's is this week's Halloween episode and we are just two fools who haven't played any of the video games, so why not chat about it.
