EPISODE 149: ZOMBIE LOVE FOR HALLOWEEN

We love zombies! Whether shambling, running, brain-eating or raging, authors T. Fox Dunham & Phil Thomas can’t get enough of the hungry dead, especially during the Halloween season. On episode 149, Fox & Phil chat with Daniel Kraus about writing his new book, The Living Dead. Daniel had the honor of co-writing the book with the late George Romero, who created the zombie franchise with his movie, Night of the Living Dead. He explains how he went to great lengths to write it in Romero’s style and maintain his original theme: Zombies are the sympathetic good guys, a rising underclass, and humans are the villains. David Walton narrates an excerpt from the book.

Also on this episode, Phil and Fox discuss zombie lore: the best movies, stories and the most effective method a zombie can use to hunt the living. Finishing the show, David also narrates a short story written by T. Fox Dunham called How my Battlecraft Guild Survived the Zombie Apocalypse. Fox got the idea while raiding on World of Warcraft, realizing that the teamwork required to defeat a raid boss would help any team survive a real invasion by the living dead.

We’re counting down to Halloween 2020, so come and get some zombie love!
