In this episode of The Ice Skating Podcast, Luke Norman and Nick Moore reflect on the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021 which took place in Stockholm, Sweden, from March 22-28.
Luke and Nick chat to Mark Hanretty, the ISU’s commentator of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships, who covered the entire event and watched every routine. Hear what Mark has to say about the Championships, and how the next international Figure Skating season might unfold as we build toward the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
We also hear from a handful of the biggest stars who skated at the Championships, including Yuzuru Hanyu (JPN), Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (FSR), Madison Hubbell (USA), Sui Wenjing (CHN), Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (CAN), as well as Ulrika Molin, President of the Organizing Committee of the ISU World Figure Skating Championships 2021.
Produced in conjunction with the ISU’s new monthly YouTube This is #UpAgain, the Show which will bring inspiring interviews with skaters who have overcome adversity and risen to fight another day. The Ice Skating Podcast will also feature some key moments of the interviews.
