On this episode of What’s New to Netflix Instant!? it’s springtime and love is in the air which is heavily apparent as we go through the list of new titles that are streaming on Netflix in April 2021.
Then we recall our own personal experiences working at Blockbuster Video when we talk about the documentary, The Last Blockbuster from 2020. Next, Nicolas Cage and a group of Jiu Jitsu fighters have to stop an alien or a comet from annihilating the universe or something in the preposterous sci-fi action flick, Jiu Jitsu from 2020. And finally, Eric Andre and Lil Rey Howery drive across the country as unsuspecting people get roped into their zany antics in Bad Trip from 2021.
All of this plus the story behind your favorite sweater, new movies sharing slightly similar titles to more popular films, Selma Blair sitcom nostalgia, the legitimacy of inventing new film cameras, the phenomenon of meditation apps, and the existential emptiness of animal influencers getting Netflix deals.
