This episode gets personal! My friend Rachel Carey joins me as we discuss her film "Ask For Jane", how to write and raise kids at the same time and lots of other great things BUT one thing that came up was the unfortunate treatment women sometimes face when working in this male dominated industry. I have made some observations over the years that I wanted to share. While not everyone will agree with my approach, it is the approach that has worked for me time and time again. I am giving my perspective as a woman writer in a male dominated industry, but I'd also like to add that being the daughter of the showrunner also has major drawbacks and my strategy has helped with being viewed as a product of nepotism.
