Friends with Benefits a.k.a FWB: An agreed upon arrangement. Two friends trust each other enough to engage in sexual activity without fear of hurting the other's feelings. It's described as the ideal scenario for folk who are not interested in a serious relationship, or who do not have time for one. They are not boyfriend or girlfriend. Both can date other people. It's another alternative to a random hook-up. Basically, casual sex with no strings attached. No commitment of any kind. On the surface, finding yourself in a friends with benefits relationship can seem like a win-win for everyone. But is it?
Can a man and a woman have sex and be completely emotionally unattached? As a Christian, is it okay to embrace the idea of having friends with benefits? Does selfish sex honor God?
Ephesians 5:3, “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people.”
