In this episode I interview John Eley. John “JBLAZE” Eley is an American music producer, composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California that has produced highly acclaimed work for major recording artists such as Ceraadi ,Sevyn Streeter, Algee Smith, Seryah, Naomi Scott, Niqa Mor, and more. He has placed songs on Fox’s Hit TV show “EMPIRE”, and Katherine Bigelows “DETROIT” soundtrack.
Born in Brooklyn, NY. JBL8ZE was destined to entertain and inspire the world. From the young age of 2 he would bang on anything that could make a beat, his parents saw his musical talents and began to invest into buying him instruments. His first instrument was drums, later he moved onto playing bass in his Dad’s quartet group, he also picked up piano, and finally landed on his love for guitar. JBL8ZE’s parents put him in music related schooling from Junior High through College, which has played as major for him in music. Since then JBL8ZE has worked with a host of artist both in and outside of the studio with his skills on guitar, and has toured with a host of well-known Artist from Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, B.E.T.’s Sunday’s Best, 2 Chainz, Monica, Wynonna Judd, Fantasia, Nipsey Hustle, Brock Hampton, Pharell Williams, N.E.R.D. and many others.
JBL8ZE’s musical talents has now landed beyond the stage into the studio where his production talents can be fully expressed. He gained the attention of music icons Randy Jackson, and Theron “Neff-U” Feemster. In 2018 John signed his first co-publishing deal with Ahh Haa Music/UMPG and has worked along side Chad Hugo of the “Neptunes” and is building his catalog with many other great songwriters and producers.
JBL8ZE recently produced the single “Favorite” for Roc Nations female group “Ceraadi” , from their recent EP “GRWM”, and also “Fa La La” for their Christmas single. JBL8ZE has countless other projects in play with upcoming releases that will continue highlighting his amazing musical abilities.
