With every introduction comes an opportunity… So, get out there and introduce yourself to the world.” - Johnnie Williams III

We’ve all been encouraged to give our all, but that’s all we have to give. But how often do we (actually) give our all?

  • All the time
  • Some of the time
  • At no time

Me personally, I only give my all when it comes to my passion and the messages I have to pass on. When helping people help other people, I have no problem giving my all. I give my all some of the time when asked to do things by others but my others that I really don’t desire to do. At no time have I given my all when commanded to follow rigid rules imposed upon me.

I can remember my parents getting their point across with clear expectations and incentivized outcomes. They often told me to “stop doing a half-a-job" when completing tasks, and this expectation has benefited me greatly.

As I introduce myself to the world I (now) have a body of work that reflects all of my efforts, and all that I know. Therefore, I feel good when introducing myself to others.

Ask Yourself:

  1. When was the last time that you introduced yourself to someone new?
  2. What seems to hold you back from introducing yourself to others?
