Carline Crevecoeur is a Haitian American board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist raised in Brooklyn, NY. She attended Brooklyn Technical HS and later, St. John’s University.

After 20 years of medical service in New York and Pennsylvania, Carline gave up her career to raise and homeschool her five African American children; who all learned differently, even while undergoing Stage IV colon cancer treatment.

In addition to being a wife, mom, physician, teacher and author, Carline has volunteered on education boards such as WPSU and NAAHP and sponsored public health programs. She is the first Black woman elected for a seat on the SCASD school board in Pennsylvania. Her memoir: Pressure Makes Diamonds shares more of Carline's amazing journey.

For Carline, giving up was never an option. This is her story.
