My guest today is Tom Fay, the owner of Gambit Recovery. Tom has opened recovery houses in 6 states, has 11 years of sobriety and is clearly committed to helping others. He’s been sober since September of 2010 and has quite a story to share.

Tom struggled with addiction, self worth and shame and was in and out of detox and treatment centers 22 times over a 10 year period. After a serious suicide attempt and countless more detoxes, he landed in rehab in Mesa, Arizona where he was introduced a few men in detox that helped him to find purpose and meaning. Following their example and borrowing a bit of courage Tom made his first real attempt in recovery and joined a sober house to learn to live. He had been part of sober houses before and he knew how they worked and wanted to make his better. So at the first opportunity he had, he stepped into a house manager position and began his successful career in helping others on the path to recovery and never turned back.

Tom Fay recently started his own company called Gambit Recovery where he is experiencing the freedom to show others that recovery is obtainable and can be long term. Tom is happily married and has two daughters.
