Al has been all over the country coaching quarterbacks and offense! From different stints in California ( UCLA : 1996-2000, CAL: 2001-2003, San Diego State: 2008, San Jose State: 2015) to back up North East at the University of Michigan. He has coached several elite quarterbacks including: 1st round draft picks in Cade McNown and Jason Campbell. Al was also the Offensive Coordinator under Tommy Tuberville during Auburn's 2004 run to a Sugar Bowl and 13-0 season. He has since decided to write a book called " Deny the Tiger"!
