Statement of Need Clinical research is an integral component to the development of new treatments, drugs or medical drugs. Successful patient recruitment has been determined as a contributing factor to the success of clinical research studies. Objectives At the conclusion of this offering, the participant will be able to:
  1. Discuss the basics of clinical research including the types of research and phases of trials addressing both adult and pediatric research.
  2. Describe the importance of patient selection and characteristics in clinical research.
