He has a conversation with Mitch De Anda, Program Director of the Firefighter Candidate Testing Center (FCTC), and Jeanette Plascencia, Recruitment Director of Cal-JAC, the California Firefighter Joint Apprenticeship Committee. Both the FCTC and CALJAC are organizations that are supported by California Professional Firefighters.
Mitch and Jeanette talk with Mark about some of the processes that candidates need to go through to get hired as firefighters and EMS providers, the current recruitment environment the fire service is going through, and some success stories that their very unique programs have had overcoming these challenges.
