On October 16, 2022, Young Sook An, a 42-year-old woman from Lacey, WA was bound and gagged by her estranged 53-year-old husband and military intelligence veteran, Chae Kyong An. Young, somehow managed to call 911 on her Apple Watch, and police were dispatched to their home. However, Chae had already abducted Young, stabbed her, and buried her alive in a grave he dug in the woods.
