On October 16, 2022, Young Sook An, a 42-year-old woman from Lacey, WA was bound and gagged by her estranged 53-year-old husband and military intelligence veteran, Chae Kyong An. Young, somehow managed to call 911 on her Apple Watch, and police were dispatched to their home. However, Chae had already abducted Young, stabbed her, and buried her alive in a grave he dug in the woods.
* Apple Watch can do the following things with a Wi-Fi or cellular connection, even if an iPhone isn't present. Make and answer phone calls. Send and receive messages. Use Siri to get directions, send iMessages, and more.
