Will Deely is a musician, guitarist and singer/songwriter.
While most often it’s over some Chipotle, this week I sit down with my friend Will Deely. We dive into his music infused back story of finding his passion for playing guitar and eventually singing, that led him through being the trusted “go to” guy for so many bands and artists over the years. We uncover how all this turned into a solo songwriting path, which eventually turned into his project Heavy Things, and eventually turning into now performing as the live guitarist for Beartooth.
Avoiding the sick sound bytes along the way, we chat about creative burnout, trusting yourself and your skills to just “do the thing”, embracing positive influences around you as motivation to do better, finding your “zen” between the highs and lows of life, what he’s learned via all the projects he’s been a part of over the years, joining a touring band right as the pandemic began, refining his songwriting skills currently and lots more in this fun one.
