Understanding the LORD’s command to “Forgive.”Forgiving is an action of releasing and healing the bonds (hurt, pain) of an offence, sin or trespass made against you. Similar to healing of a mark or bruising, physical and spiritual. BUT ONLY GOD, can release an offender for acts of lying, false witness, abuse, stealing, adultery and murder in thought, spoken or enacted.
Biblical Principles|
Pray for GOD to reveal anything or anyone that requires your forgiveness, including yourself. Because unforgiving leads to bitterness, anger and hate which sickens or makes one’s heart cold. If so, pray to GOD for healing.
John 8:7 -But when they went on with their questions, he got up and said to them, Let him among you who is without sin be the first to send a stone at her.
