Good News Story

We will never have enough good news. This episode Wilkie shares “Dad hugs during a Pride Parade” as our good news story. This story will warm your heart, to learn more, check out this link: https://youtu.be/gM-2uXpaU8Q

Men’s Mental Health:

  • Guys don’t cry, a shifting culture;
  • Wilkie’s Journey;
  • TC’s Journey;
  • Support Systems, what are they, who are they are.
  • Reaching out to someone in need.

Walkabout takeaways:

Men’s mental health is nothing to shy away from. If you have your own challenges and you have been lost in dealing with them, reach out. Mental health is just as important as physical health. Keep in mind:

  • First of all, what you're experiencing is normal and we have to learn how to normalize it even more;
  • Lean on friends and family first but know that there is support out there for you;
  • Be alive to the fact others may be suffering in silence and lend a hand when that door opens for you;
  • Finally, when things are spiraling, seek professional help.
