When retired psychologist Katie Snyder found a golf ball in her breast, she didn't realize she'd soon be entertaining her whole posse at every step along her 17-month road to vanquishing Tilly the tumor. As she says, no one expects breast cancer until they find a lump, and after they find it, cancer is exactly what they expect.
