Coach Lee Hopkins is a personal development coach based in Chicago. He is also a trans man. Coach Lee grew up in a small religious town in Ohio and always felt like an outsider. He struggled to make friends and felt like he didn't fit in. He kept his life a secret for many years. He started to make peace with his religion and is now open about his experience as a trans man. Coach Lee hopes to help others who are struggling to find their place in the world.
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. The idea that one's worthiness to be heard or seen is based on learned behavior
2. The concept of 'transitioning' and how it relates to one's gender identity
3. The idea that religion may not always be the answer to finding friends and community.
