It's hard to make friends as an adult and yet the value of friendships in our life is vital. Relationship expert Esther Perel says that the quality of our relationships determines the quality of our lives. Unlike other relationships, we choose our friends. One of the 5 regrets of the dying according to Bronnie Ware IS about friends: “I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.” Friends enrich our lives, they nourish us, and remind us of who we are among other things. A returning guest Kristy Lauricella has some good advice about making and keeping friends. We both share a current friendship issue that we are dealing with. She suspects I might have fear for not wanting to confront a friend, while I question certain things.
  • The value of friendships in our life
  • The role of attachment and how it affects our friendships
  • Old friends vs new ones
  • What makes a good friend?
  • What qualities we value in friendships
  • What do you think of the idea of updating our friendships?
  • Handling conflicts in friendships
  • When and how friendships end
  • And more
An honest, thought-provoking and self-disclosing episode.
